Hike through a colourful geothermal area – Tour program
Pick up at your accommodation between 8.30 and 9.00 AM, or meet us at the bus stop number 8, next to Hallgrímskirkja church at 9.00 AM. We will start our journey by driving from Reykjavík to Hveragerði, where the Reykjadalur (Steam Valley) is situated.
We hike up the Reykjadalur (Steam Valley). The hike takes about 1 hour until we come to the river. The valley is situated in a geothermally active area, so the hot water mixes with the river, making it perfect temperature for bathing. Remember good shoes, swimsuit, snack, water and your camera!
A moderate hike, with a good rest at the top, until we hike downhill.
We arrive in Reykjavík about 2 PM.
